Cause

The issue is seen when Veritas WebAPI Service is not installed on the server.

Solution

Perform the steps mentioned below which will help in getting Veritas System Recovery upgraded successfully.

1. Open a command prompt as Administrator, and run the below command.

C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319>InstallUtil.exe "C:\Program Files\Veritas\Veritas System Recovery\Agent\HostService.exe"

2. After running the command mentioned above, perform a reboot of the server.

3. Launch Services.msc on the server post server reboot and confirm that Veritas WebAPI Services is starting and the startup type is AUTO.

4. Perform the Upgrade of Veritas System Recovery after ensuring that the Veritas WebAPI Service started, and reboot the server.

5. Launch Services.msc on the server post server reboot and verify if Veritas WebAPI Service is available. If Veritas WebAPI Services service is not found, please run the below command. After that, reboot the server.
