1. Stop Volume Manager
Unix/ Linux
/usr/openv/volmgr/bin/stopltid
Windows
From Windows Service, right click 'NetBackup Volume Manager' and select 'stop'
2. Delete any files in these directories
Unix/ Linux
/usr/openv/netbackup/db/media/drives
/usr/openv/netbackup/db/media/tpreq
Windows
<install path>\veritas\netbackup\db\media\drives
<install path>\veritas\netbackup\db\media\tpreq
3. Delete the misc directory
Unix/ Linux
Delete the directory /usr/openv/volmgr/misc
Windows
Delete the directory <install path>\veritas\volmgr\misc
4. Restart Volume Manager
Unix/ Linux
/usr/openv/volmgr/bin/ltid -v
Windows
From Windows Service, right click 'NetBackup Volume Manager' and select 'start'
