Description
To download the Cohesity Alta SaaS Protection (CASP) Export Utility by going to the Admin Portal -> Administration app -> Software Download.

Assuming you have the required authorization and have successfully downloaded the CASP Export Utility, follow these steps to install and configure the CASP Export Utility.
Run the Installer
- Open the Export Utility installer file 'Cohesity.ASP.ExportUtility.msi'. This will open the install wizard on the welcome step.
- Click 'Next' to proceed.
Acceptable Use Policy
- You will need to read and accept the CASP Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) before proceeding. Of special note, you have rights to use CASP installable software in your organization as long as your subscription to CASP is active. You can also find the AUP here: Cohesity Alta SaaS Protection Acceptable Use Policy (AUP).
- Click 'Next' to proceed.
Install Path
- Optionally change the install path.
- Click 'Next' to proceed.
Execute the Installation
- Click 'Install' to execute the installation.
- When the installation is complete, click 'Finish.'
Launch the Cohesity Alta SaaS Protection Export Utility GUI
- Go to the Start menu, find the CASP Export Utility app, and open it.
Connect the Export Utility
- When you open the Export Utility app, you will first need to 'Connect'. You'll need to provide the following to connect to your CASP tenant.
- StorSite Web Service URL: This can be found in the URL of the User Portal or Admin Portal. If you need assistance, contact the administrator of your CASP tenant or the Cohesity Support.
- User Email: An account that is authorized in CASP with the following permissions.
- API authorization
- Access all items
- If required click 'Proxy Settings' to enter your proxy settings.
- Optionally you can click 'Advanced Settings' and adjust the following settings. It is not recommended to change these options unless directed by a Cohesity representative.
- Click 'Ok' to save changes
These configuration settings made are saved for future use. You will have to authenticate each time you open a new instance of the Export Utility. You can run multiple exports without authenticating as long as the UI is not closed.
