Backup Exec is a cluster aware application, so it uses Windows Cluster APIs extensively to check if a server is part of a cluster. On Windows Server 2019 and above, the Cluster API generates Event-81 if the server is not a part of a cluster.
Solution
Backup Exec 21.1 now includes changes to help mitigate the errors generated by the Cluster API.
NOTE: Event ID 81 errors may still occur if there are any other issues related to the cluster.
