Receiving Error 1068 while attempting to start the Netbackup Legacy Client service with an account other than Local System.

Problem

When a user account other than the Local System account is used to start the NetBackup Legacy Client service, you could receive error below:

vnetd logs show the following error:

14:05:33.891 [14064.8372] <16> main: EXIT status = 20
 

Cause

The account being used does not have the correct permissions on the server to debug programs

Solution

Add the user to Local Security Policy > Local Policies > User Rights Assignment > Debug programs.
