How to create a view in OpsCenter without View Builder

To create a view and populate it with data from within the OpsCenter UI complete the following steps.

Creating a view:

1.)  Log into the OpsCenter UI

2.)  Navigate to Settings - Views

3.)  Click the 'Add' button

4.)  In the 'Add View' window that pops up complete the following

    a.)  In the 'Name' field supply a name for the view

    b.)  For the 'View type' select the type of view you want (Client, Master Server, or Policy)

    c.)  Optionally add a description in the 'Description' field

5.)  Click the 'OK' button.  This will create the view.

 

Populating a view:

1.)  Log into the OpsCenter UI

2.)  Navigate to Settings - Views

3.)  Check the box to the left of the name of the view you wish to add nodes to

4.)  Click the 'Manage Nodes and Objects' button

5.)  This will open the view to the 'Objects on Node' tab, which shows you what is currently in the view.  To add objects, click the 'Objects not in selected view' tab

6.)  Check the box to the left of the name of the objects you wish to add

7.)  Click the 'Add to Node' button.  To verify they added successfully click on the 'Objects on Node' tab and verify they now show up.

8.)  Click the 'Finish' button
