Before upgrading to NetBackup Appliance release 3.1.2, Veritas strongly recommends that you first follow the steps in the attached upgrade checklist below to help ensure a successful upgrade. The checklist includes links to other resources that are necessary to make sure that you can perform the checklist tasks for your appliance configuration.
The following section is included in the attached checklist, but is also provided here to help you prepare ahead for upgrades to version 3.1.2.
Before any upgrades to version 3.1.2, make sure to download the latest versions of the following

Note: After downloading the analyzer tool, you can verify the file name and the release date information above by running the Manage>Software>List Downloaded command as described in the Appliance Upgrade Readiness Analyzer tech note article.

Log in to the Veritas Smart Meter site with your VEMS credentials. Navigate to the Registration Keys page to download a customer registration key.
