The Backup Exec Library Expansion Option is displayed with a red sign even though it is correctly licensed

Problem

The Backup Exec Library Expansion Option (LEO) is displayed within the Licensing Information screen with a red sign, even though it is correctly licensed.

This behavior is seen with the following licenses

1. Either a Gold or Silver Subscription license is being used.
The Backup Exec Library Expansion Option (LEO) is included within the Gold or Silver Subscription license.

2. Simple Licensing is being used
The Backup Exec Library Expansion Option (LEO) is included within the Simple Subscription license.

 

This behavior is not seen when using a Custom Edition license.
A specific Library Expansion Option (LEO) license is required to enable this option, which then will display the Library Expansion Option (LEO) as correctly Licensed and Installed.

This is a display issue and does not impact the functionality of the Library Expansion Option (LEO).

Veritas Technologies LLC has acknowledged that the above-mentioned issue is present in the current version(s) listed under the Product(s) Section of this article. Veritas Technologies LLC is committed to product quality and satisfied customers.   

There are currently no plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix in the current or previous versions of the software at the present time. While this issue may be resolved in a future major revision of the software at a later time, it is not currently scheduled for any release.  If you feel this issue has a direct business impact for you and your continued use of the product, please contact your Veritas Sales representative or the Veritas Sales group to discuss these concerns.
