Description

Background

VRP Data Mover and NetBackup Continuous Data Protection feature requires storage policy vtstap to protect VMs using VRP Data Mover VAIO replication with vCenter 6.0U2 and later. User may need to create vtstap storage policy after performing manual Replication VIB installation on ESXi hosts.

Note: Replace vtstap with vxtap for vCenter versions before 6.0U2.

Process Flow
The process to create vtstap policy depends on whether there are any existing VM storage policies in use by VMs which will be protected by VRP.
- Follow section 1 if there are no VM storage policies in use by VMs.
- Follow section 2 if there are existing VM storage policies in use by VMs.

Section 1: Create standalone vtstap policy
