Cause

VMware Platform Services Controller server may not be reachable over the network from the master server or the discovery host.

Solution

For VMware tags processing, NetBackup must be able to communicate with the VMware Platform Services Controller (PSC) server on TCP port 443. Make sure that the PSC hostname can be resolved to its IP address and it is reachable on TCP port 443. Note that Platform Services Controller may not be on the same host as the vCenter.
