How to check if a VMware datastore is presented on SAN to a Windows NetBackup host

For VMware backups to use the SAN transport mode, the datastore LUNs must be accessible to the VM backup host.

Here is how to check if a datastore has been presented to a Windows VM backup host:
  1. Download, install and run Linux Reader: https://www.diskinternals.com/linux-reader/
  2. Click View -> View -> Expert.
  3. Expand or double-click the first column titled Disk in the table.
  4. Observe the list of presented Datastores with paths starting with /vmfs/volumes as per the screenshot below. This shows Datastore LVIDs (Logical Volume IDentifiers) as well as names.
  5. Confirm that the Datastore in question appears in the list.
