How To Change ESA Configuration Settings (Property Browser)

Description

The eDiscovery Platform has a number of user adjustable configuration settings.  The system user can reconfigure some tunable settings through the user interface by following the steps below.

  1. Navigate to System > Support Features
  2. Choose Property Browser from the pull down
     
  3. To check the value of a property, use the Pattern to match field and enter the partial or complete name of the property.
    1. This field will accept wildcard characters both before and after a keyword.
      1. To check the value of all LDAP settings, enter *ldap.*
      2. To check the value of authentication LDAP only, enter esa.ldap.*
    2. Enter the full name of a property to check its value.  For example, the LDAP connection URL.
      1. esa.ldap.connectionURL
  4. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Some property are private properties, meaning they are only valid on the Appliance chosen in the Choose an Appliance dropdown.
    1. These private properties are denoted with an * after their name in the output.
  5. Please Note:  There are both case level settings and system level settings.  The user must know ahead of time whether the setting to change is a case level setting or a system level setting and change this setting appropriately.
  6. To change a property.
    1. Fill out Name of property to change
  7. Fill out New value with the new value desired.
  8. Check the Confirm change box
  9. Click the Submit button

Note:  Not all properties are exposed using the Property Browser.  Only those designated user-configurable properties

 

 

To get a listing of current user-configurable properties:

1. Leave the following fields blank:

- Pattern to match
- Name of property to change
- New value (leave blank to remove)

2. Uncheck the Confirm change box.
3. Click the Submit button.
