Log into the ESXi using a browser as below.
https://ESXiName or IP Address/mob ---> Insert root / admin user name and password.
Then Navigate to Content > ha-license-manager > licenses .
This will open "LicenseManagerLicenseInfo".
Check "editionKey" under this.
If this has basic license, it will be shown as "esxBasic".
If it has a valid license, it will be similar to the one in the screenshot.
