STATUS CODE 98: error requesting media (tpreq) occurs during a restore when the volume(s) required for the restore have been removed from the robot.

Media id is not in a robotic library; administrative interaction may be required to satisfy a mount request.

Solution

Overview:
STATUS CODE 98: error requesting media(tpreq) occurs during a restore when the volume(s) required for the restore havebeen removed from the robot.

Resolution:
Resubmit the requestfor a missing volume(s).  Insert the missing volume(s) into the library andperform an inventory on the robot. Ensure that Update VolumeConfiguration is selected (see Managing Media in Robots in the NetBackupMedia Manager System Administrator's Guide for more details on thisprocedure).  

Then, resubmit the pending request by doing thefollowing:
1. From within the NetBackupAdministration Console (Windows or Java), expand Media and DeviceManagement in the left pane
2. In the left pane, click Device Monitor
3. To the right there should bea Pending Requests pane. Right-click the pending request that appears andclick Resubmit Request.

The pending request message is removed from the Pending Requests pane and the restore operation proceeds.
