Restore of file and folder permissions only from NDMP Option Backup fails with 0xe000fe29 Authentication failed

Problem

Restore of file and folder permissions/rights only to original location from NDMP Option backup fails with 0xe000fe29 Authentication failed on connection to the server error.

Error Message

0xe000fe29 - Authentication failed on connection to the server. Make sure that the user account has the appropriate permissions and that the password was typed correctly.

Access is denied to Remote Agent

Cause

 Restoring only File/Folder security information from an NDMP Option backup is not supported.

Solution

Perform restore of both Files/Folders with the security information from NDMP Option backup.
