Desktop and Laptop Option version 7.6x displays a licensing error when the DLO Admin Console is launched."The Symantec Desktop and Laptop Option license is invalid"

When Clicking on Help/About in the DLO Admin Console may display a message Evaluation period has expired.
"Evaluation period has expired"

Alerts Tab of the DLO Admin Console shows the following error for clients:
“The Symantec Desktop and Laptop Option license is invalid”

The DLO Client will be in a disabled state

Solution
- Step 1: Confirm the License key being used is correct in the registry.
Warning: Incorrect use of the Windows registry editor may prevent the operating system from functioning properly. Great care should be taken when making changes to a Windows registry. Registry modifications should only be carried-out by persons experienced in the use of the registry editor application. It is recommended that a complete backup of the registry and workstation be made prior to making any registry changes.
HKLM\Software\Symantec\Symantec DLO\License
If this key is not correct a call with Licensing team should be made.
- Step 2: Using command prompt, browse to the DLO directory (default is \Program Files\Symantec\Symantec DLO). Run the following commands, do not copy and paste the commands:
DLOLicenseCLI.exe –delete ‘license key’ (This command will delete the current license key. Use the actual license key displayed earlier without the quotes)
DLOLicenseCLI.exe –add ‘license key’ (This command is used to re-add the license keys. Use the actual license key displayed earlier without the quotes to re-add the keys)
- Step 3
Download the appropriate attached updated binary for the appropriate version of DLO (7.6 or 7.6 SP1).
DLOAdminSvcu_7.6SP1_Binary.zip
DLOAdminSvcu_7.6_Binary.zip
Within the zip files there is both a 32bit and 64bit version of a new DLOAdminSvcu.exe binary.
Browse to the ..\Program Flies\Symantec\Symantec DLO folder and rename the existing DLOAdminSvcu.exe file to DLOAdminSvcu.sav
Copy the appropriate version of the new DLOAdminSvcu.exe binary and restart all the SQL DLO service and then the other DLO Services.
- Step 4
Check the DLO Clients to see if they are still disabled. If they are, exit the agent and browse to the agents .settings folder ( C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Symantec\DLO\.settings) , delete the file "userdata.xml" file and re-launch.
If the issue still exists please call in to the support line and open a new case.
