Problem

tpconfig and tpautoconf command reports another device configuration is already in progress

Error Message

When running tpconfig/tpautoconf command to add devices,  the following error message is shown:

Another device configuration is already in progress

On the media server,  the tpcommand log (under <install_path>/volmgr/debug/tpcommand),  shows the following error message:

Solution

Run the following command on the media server:

<install_path>/netbackup/bin/admincmd/nbemmcmd -releasecache -machinename <mediaservername>
