Problem

MultiNICB with OS defined IP Network Multipathing group

Solution

Summary:

Even though IP Network Multipathing (IPMP) groupname was used, MultiNICB overwrote the IPMP group assignment.

Configuration:

group IPGrp1 (
       SystemList = { gimli = 1, legolas = 2 }
       )

       IPMultiNICB vip1 (
               Enabled = 0
               BaseResName = mnicb
               Address = "25.3.10.128"
               NetMask = "255.255.248.0"
               )

       Proxy ipgrp1proxy (
               TargetResName = mnicb
               )

group Multi_NicB (
       SystemList = { gimli = 1, legolas = 2 }
       Parallel = 1
       )

       MultiNICB mnicb (
               Enabled = 0
               UseMpathd = 1
               MpathdCommand = "/sbin/in.mpathd"
               Device @gimli = { hme0 = 0, qfe0 = 1 }
               Device @legolas = { hme0 = 0 }
               IgnoreLinkStatus = 0
               DefaultRouter = "10.85.0.1"
               )

       Phantom phantomb (
       )
