FSA Agent filter driver does not load when Secure Boot is enabled

Problem

In Enterprise Vault 12.3 and earlier releases, the EV minifilter driver does not load when Secure Boot is enabled on the file server target computer.

Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source.

Cause

The EV minifilter driver (evmf.sys) does not have the required Extended Validation Code Signing Certificate to pass the Secure Boot requirements for driver loading.

Solution

In Enterprise Vault 12.3 and earlier releases, the only workaround is to disable 'Secure Boot' for the file server target computer.

Secure Boot is supported in Enterprise Vault 12.4 and later releases.
