Antivirus folder-level exclusions for Enterprise Vault and McAfee Endpoint Security version 10.5

Enterprise Vault has a list of recommended antivirus exclusions which are to be setup in order to maintain Enterprise Vault data integrity. See https://www.veritas.com/docs/100013388.

 

Ensure that the correct antivirus folder-level exclusions recommended for Enterprise Vault are in place.

  1. Click Start > All Programs.
  2. Click McAfee > McAfee Endpoint Security.
  3. In the McAfee Endpoint Security dialog box, click Threat Prevention.
  4. In the Settings dialog box, scroll down to Exclusions.
  5. Click Add.
  6. In the Add Exclusion window, add the following file and folder paths.
    **\inetpub\temp\appPools\EnterpriseVaultAppPool\
    **\Windows\inf\Enterprise Vault Index Query Server\
    **\Windows\TEMP\
     <install_path>Program Files (x86)\Enterprise Vault\EVIndexing\data
     <install_path>\Users\<VaultServiceAccount>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click Apply.
