Problem

This article discusses support for InfoScale and Storage Foundation High Availability (SFHA) Solutions on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.3 (RHEL 7.3).

Veritas is qualifying InfoScale 7.2, 7.1, 7.0.1 and SFHA 6.2.1 on RHEL 7.3. See the Solution section for RHEL 7.3 support.

7.1 InfoScale 7.1 supports RHEL 7.3 via patch infoscale-rhel7.3_x86_64-Patch-7.1.0.100.
This patch requires InfoScale 7.1
This patch also support Oracle Linux 7.3 (OL 7.3) in RHEL compatibility mode.

Limitations: 
  • Using LLT over RDMA may cause i/o hang
  • Booting from mirrored root disk may not work
  • Error when enabling/disabling DMP native support on Oracle Linux. https://www.veritas.com/docs/000125388
