Another Big WIN for Veritas this Year at the Annual Computer Security Awards 2021

Backup-Manager December 09, 2021

It's official! We are excited to announce that Backup Exec is a winner of the 2021 Computing Security Awards Editor's Choice Award and Data Loss Prevention Solution of the Year awards. The 11th Computing Security Awards for 2021 took place LIVE, in London! It's an honor to win these awards, as they each speak to our solution's strengths in ransomware resilience and data protection - with a simple, secure, and unified backup approach.

The Computing Security Awards is highly regarded by IT professionals as one of the most prestigious in the data and information security landscape. According to the U.K.-based publishing house, each of the award winners has demonstrated its excellence in its category.

This award comes on the heels of the announcement earlier this year that the Storage Awards awarded Veritas the Editor's Choice Product of the Year and the Ransomware Protection Company of the Year.

Security is a hot topic in all businesses these days. Data backup and its security are inseparable, and both are large parts of our future. With backups being a popular target, Backup Exec has strengthened defenses on backup storage and processes over the years and it's really a proud moment to see these efforts being recognized.

The efficacy of Backup Exec's Ransomware Resilience is clear, providing protection across multi-cloud hybrid environments from malware threats. This ability allows IT and storage teams to protect backup data from malware that encrypts, or locks, valuable digital files.

Since the award winners are decided on by public vote, it means so much more to us, and we are so thankful to everyone who voted and all our customers and partners for their support.

Winning the Editor's Choice and DL Solution of the Year award solidifies Veritas as the leading Data Management company, demonstrating our commitment to backup, data security, and ransomware protection.
