NetBackup 8.1.2 / 3.1.2 HotFix - Replicated VMWare images have incorrect target expiration (Etrack 3981646)
Abstract
Description
When VMWare backup images are written to Storage Lifecycle Policy and then replicated to a remote master, the image import on the target assigns a one week retention even if the original image had a retention of one month. The result is replicated images may expire sooner than expected after being imported by the remote host.
Solution
A HotFix is available for NetBackup 8.1.2 which resolves the issue of VMWare replicated images being assigned a 1 week retention after import of replicated images.
Note: This EEB should be installed on servers running NetBackup 8.1.2 version. If a previous version of the EEB is installed on a system, remove it before applying the newer version.
Versions affected
- NetBackup 3.1.2 (8.1.2)
