Configuring NetBackup appliances as AMS

Perform this procedure to configure NetBackup appliances.

To configure a NetBackup appliance as AMS

  1. Log on to the NetBackup Appliance Shell Menu on the appliance that you want to set as the AMS.
  2. Run the following command sequence:

    Appliance > Management Server Configure

    The following message is displayed:

    [INFO] The Appliance Management Server is successfully configured.
Use the NetBackup Appliance Shell Menu to create an appliance user 
(Local/LDAP/AD)with the AMS role.
Log on to the NetBackup Appliance Web Console with this account.
