Incorrect tagging of messages with distribution lists (DL) when using property "Number of recipients" (NREA).
Problem
When classifying using "Number of Recipients" in VIC, messages that contain DLs may be incorrectly tagged.
Cause
DL expansion logic for SMTP-journaled emails is not triggered for custom message types. As a result, the NREA count is incorrect because DLs are treated as a single entity.
Solution
The following registry key must be configured according to the customer’s setup:
Registry Name: CustomMessageTypes
Location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\KVS\Enterprise Vault\Storage
Type: REG_SZ (String)
Value: A comma-separated list of all custom message types (for example: SMTP.Email,Email,e-mail)
Fixed in EV 15.2.3 and EV 16.0
