Problem

When configuring replication SLPs (Storage Lifecycle Policy), if these use the targeted replication option which requires an import SLP to be selected from the destination/target NetBackup domain primary server, the WebUI has a limiation where only 100 import SLPs can be displayed.

The NetBackup Java GUI will display more than 100.

Error Message

N/A

Cause

The WebUI uses API calls to collect details from the NetBackup database, but each call is limited to 100 rows as a response.
For some areas of the WebUI, there is no option to increase or see the additional rows, when the limit of 100 is reached, and the remaining rows are not displayed.

Solution

At the time this article was written, no formal solution to see more than 100 import SLPs is available.    The workarounds are:

1. Ensure the limit of 100 import SLPs is not exceeded.

2. Use the command nbstl and the available switches to create or modify the replication SLP to define the specific import SLP required.

3. Create the new import SLPs allowing for a name convention which allows the new import SLPs to be displayed in the first 100 import SLPs, so it can be displayed and selected.
