SQL backups failing with error 130.

Problem

SQL backup failing with error 130.
 

Error Message

BPHDB logs shows that its unable to execute the dbbackex.exe on client.

Cause

Issue with dbbackex.exe, not responding, is hung or has crashed.
 

Solution

1. Log in to the SQL client and open the local Task Manager.

2. Check for any dbbackex.exe processes and kill the task(s).

3. Retry the operation afterwards.
