NAS-Data-Protection Policy validation fails with error code 3029: Incompatible Backup host used (Status 252)

Problem

NAS-Data-Protection Policy validation fails with Error code 3029: Incompatible Backup host used (Status 252) 

Error Message

Details:

SLP: (null) -- failed to get attributes. Retval:[152]
Policy: <Policy_Name>
No backups hosts in the backup host pool [Backup_host_pool] has Netbackup version [1010000] or higher, required for [Replication] backups.
Error code 3029: Incompatible Backup host used (Status 252) 

Cause

Instead of selecting the Policy Storage in Attribute Tab, the SLP was selected directly from the schedule using the Override policy storage selection option. Due to this, validation failed.

Solution

To resolve the issue, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Attribute tab in the backup policy.
2. In the Policy Storage list, select Storage Lifecycle Policy for backup from snapshots.
3. Save the backup policy.
