Description
How to remove an invalid or expired licenses from the NetBackup IT Analytics portal.
NetBackup IT Analytics stores licenses in the following directory:
/opt/aptare/portalconf/licenses
The license file is mapped with the Entitlement ID.
Example:
License file ABCD1234XYZ1_QTY1_APTARE_ITA_10_6_COMPLETE_STANDARDSUB_UNL_LIC_1171380418.slf is mapped with APTARE IT ANALYTICS COMPLETE WIN/LX 1 RAW TB ONPREMISE STANDARD SUBSCRIPTION for Entitlement ID: ABCD1234XYZ1
This can be verified in the portal UI from the License Administration page:
Admin > Advanced > License Administration
Solution
1. Locate the license .slf file for the old or invalid license in the following directory:
/opt/aptare/portalconf/licenses
2. Move the old or invalid license file to another location.
3. Stop and Start Tomcat services after moving the old or invalid license file:
Linux:
/opt/aptare/bin/tomcat-portal stop
/opt/aptare/bin/tomcat-agent stop
/opt/aptare/bin/tomcat-portal start
/opt/aptare/bin/tomcat-agent start
Windows:
Restart Tomcat Agent and Portal service from Windows Services.
4. Verify the old or invalid license is now removed in the portal UI:
Admin > Advanced > License Administration
