After update of Flex Appliance to 2.0 the NetBackup catalog backup within master service instances fail with 'file write failed (14)'

Problem

Master Server Flex instances have the option to mount a remote NFS (Network File System) to protect a Master Server Catalog and Disaster Recovery information.

After upgrading the Flex systems to 2.0 it has been seen that the NetBackup catalog backup fails with a file permission error on this NFS mount

Error Message

Extract from NetBackup Job Details:

Cause

There is a code problem in the Flex 2.0 code which causes this issue.

Solution

Veritas Technologies LLC currently plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix to the current version of the software.
