Problem

Auto Image Replication job started by manual nbreplicate command execution fails and reports "sts server: <string> does not have an lsu that could be a replication target"

Error Message

Info sourcemsdphostname (pid=140452) sts server: stu_disk_targetmsdp does not have an lsu that could be a replication target

    -or-

Info sourcemsdphostname (pid=140452) sts server: targetmasterhostname does not have an lsu that could be a replication target

Cause

An incorrect value supplied to the nbreplicate '-target_sts' argument. In the two aforementioned examples the first one failed because a storage unit name was supplied, and the second failed because the target master hostname was supplied instead of the target MSDP storage server hostname.

Solution

The value supplied for the nbreplicate '-target_sts' argument must be the target NetBackup domain's MSDP storage server hostname (the target MSDP media server hostname where MSDP is installed).
