Overview Section

CloudPoint and Resiliency Manager are now included with NetBackup Complete Edition and Complete Edition with Flex

Description

To obtain entitlement for CloudPoint functionality, connect the CloudPoint Server to a NetBackup Server with the Complete Edition or Complete Edition with Flex license installed.   Without this connection the CloudPoint functionality is not available.

To obtain entitlement for Resiliency Manager (also known in standalone mode as Veritas Resiliency Manager), connect Resiliency Manager to at least one NetBackup Server with the Complete Edition or Complete Edition with Flex license installed.   This connection will make Resiliency Manager (VRP) go into “no license” mode and the user is entitled to use Resiliency Manager for all types of data movers and environments..  Disconnecting from the NetBackup primary server will make Resiliency Manager go into grace period mode.  In this mode all operations work function but no changes to configuration are allowed.  The minimum version of Resiliency Manager is 3.5.0.1.

If there is no NetBackup primary with NetBackup Complete Edition or Complete Edition with Flex license installed or a version of VRP prior to 3.5.0.1, a standalone VRP license is needed.
