Problem

Cross-launching the Resiliency Platform 3.5 console from the NetBackup 8.3 web user interface requires logging into the Resiliency Platform console

Error Message

There are no error messages. Users are prompted to log into the Resiliency Platform console when cross-launched from NetBackup.

Cause

With proper security trust setup between NetBackup and Resiliency Platform, the user should not be prompted to log into Resiliency Platform when cross-launched form NetBackup.  

Solution

Perform the following steps to properly setup domain security in both Resiliency Platform and NetBackup.

In the Resiliency Platform console,

On the NetBackup server at each data center:

Run the vssat command with the addldapdomain option as mentioned in the online documentation for Netbackup:  https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/doc/15263389-132009154-0/v132458849-132009154
