Problem

When adding a new Backup Exec license (SLF file), the maintenance time window is not updated.

 

Solution

 

1. Open Windows Explorer and browse to the following directory:

   C:\ProgramData\Veritas Shared

Depending on the number of existing or newly added licenses, either:

A) 
- Browse further into the following directory:
   ..\Licenses\Backup Exec\<version>\
- Identify the old licenses (name of SLF file or date of SLF file)
- Remove these old licenses (recommendation is to copy these SLF files to a different location first)
- Go through the Backup Exec License Installation Wizard again and ensure the new license is now displayed correctly or add the new license(s) again.
Please add the server license first before adding any agent/option licenses

Or

B)
- Rename the existing "Veritas Shared" folder
- Create a new empty "Veritas Shared" folder
- Go through the License Installation Wizard and add the new license(s)
Please add the server license first before adding any agent/option licenses
