Description

The Muhimbi Document Converter Service was integrated into the eDiscovery Platform (eDP) product in order to improve the performance while generating the native image rendering of Office documents using IGC. The Office document types that Muhimbi converts to a PDF include: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HTML, MSG (including emails in a PST file) and EML. With Muhimbi enabled (the default), Clearwell converts Office documents to a PDF, which is then sent to IGC for native image rendering. A performance improvement is achieved because IGC can convert more PDF documents, in parallel, than it can Office documents. Muhimbi was introduced into the eDiscovery Platform version 8.0. There may, on occasion, be instances where you want to disable Muhimbi. This article explains how to do this.
