System Recovery Disk (SRD) creation fails with 'ECA307D2'.

Problem

Creation of System Recovery Disk (SRD) fails with the error shown below.

The following more detailed error can be found in \ProgramData\Veritas\Veritas System Recovery\Logs\ SRDCreatorUI.log:

Error- Errorcode = 3970107346, Error Description= Error ECA307D2: Failed to open (mount or apply) the WIM file in the Veritas System Recovery Disk modification staging area. The Microsoft platform code is %1.
Error- Task failed : Error ECA307D2: Failed to open (mount or apply) the WIM file in the Veritas System Recovery Disk modification staging area. The Microsoft platform code is %1.

Cause

This issue was caused due to a conflict with Webroot AntiVirus software. Creation of SRD was successful after uninstalling Webroot AntiVirus.

Solution

Uninstall Webroot AntiVirus and reboot machine. Then try SRD creation again.

Note: It is possible that the same issue may be seen with other 3rd party AntiVirus software. However, at the time of publication, the issue has only been seen with Webroot.
