Solution

Overview:
Backup or Duplication Jobs consistently run, copy data, then hang and do not complete

Troubleshooting:
This behavior has been observed if there is a firewall in place between NetBackup hosts.
This behavior has been seen in a firewall configuration where connections are terminated after a specified time (i.e. 2 hours)

Resolution:
Any of the following will address this issue.
    - Disable the firewall is possible
    - Configure the firewall so that NetBackup transmissions are not affected in this manner (connections may need to be permitted to last longer).
    - If available, use a secondary link that does not have an active firewall.
