Description
How to increase the size of a volume that is a part of a Replicated Volume Group (RVG) in Veritas Storage Foundation for Veritas Volume Replicator (VVR)Solution
Increasing the size of a volume that is a part of a replicated volume group (RVG) must be done from under
Replication Network in the Veritas Enterprise Administrator (VEA). This procedure affects the size of the volume on all sites that are included within the replicated data set (RDS).
Before performing this activity, verify that enough free space is available on all sites within the RDS.
1. From within VEA, expand Replication Network
2. Expand the RDS and the RVG that contains the volume
3. Right click on the volume and select Expand Volume(Figure 1)

4. Enter the new size of the volume in the New Size field of the Expand Volume dialog box (Figure 2). The value entered will be the actual size of the volume when the expansion is complete. This does not specify the incremental amount by which the volume will be increased.

Note: The wizard automatically allocates new blocks for the volume to the disk within the RVG that has the most free space available. It is not possible to choose a specific disk from this wizard.
5. Once expanded, verify on both sites (Primary-Secondary) to confirm that they are now reflecting the new volume sizes
