Error in Job Log :

"V-79-40960-33045 - Physical Volume Library Drive or Robot Paused, Offline, or Disabled"

Cause

1) The alert was reported in the Event Viewer Application Log because a hardware error occurred with the robotic library.

2) If the medium changer is not recognized by the Operating System, the above errors can be seen as well.

3) The device developed a hardware fault.

Solution

1) Consult the hardware vendor first to ensure there are no hardware level problems or any hardware faults have been taken care off in the Robotic Library.

2) Ensure Robotic Library medium changer in device manager shows unknown medium changer. Refer  https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.100000699

3) More extensive hardware troubleshooting can be performed by reviewing this article  100016050

4) unlock the library and put the tape back in the slot and retest the backups to check if same error is repeated.
