Problem

Discovery Accelerator(DA) export fails to move a message into .PST file.

Error Message

In the Event Viewer:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Accelerator Service Processor
Event Category: None
Event ID: 236
Date: 8/21/2009
Time: 1:55:20 PM
User: N/A
Computer: DASever
Description:
APP AT - Customer ID: 2 - [ExportPST] - Error moving MSG to PST for run 'Export (87)' Number moved: 0. System.Runtime

A DTrace of the Accelerator Service shows the following when the export of the message fails:

"(AcceleratorService)<Production Items Thread Num 0:2276>EV-H{PRODUCTIONRUNQUEUE.EN_US} Exception: Error in the application. Info:{C2.EN_US} Hoovering up msg to pst failed. Diag: Type:System.ApplicationException".

Cause

It has been found that the message is failing due to the presence of the MAPI property 0x67400102, which prevents the copy of the message to the .PST.

Solution

Workaround:
For any message with this characteristic, the workaround is to export the message to HTML or their native formats such as MSG, eml rather than PST. Then the items can be imported manually to Outlook and saved as PST or using Third party tools.
