Problem
After removal of one FC cable from slot1 port1, other FC connections show status as Unsupported and the state as WARNING.
Error Message
In hardware health, FC cable connections will show status as Unsupported & state as WARNING as shown in the image below:
Cause
For a HA setup, if the FC cable from Slot1 Port1 is removed, AutoSupport is unable to provide correct details about the other three FC cable connections.
Solution
Perform the following:
- Reconnect the FC cable which was connected to Slot1 Port1.
- Verify that all cables are installed correctly and are functional.
- Wait for 15 to 20 minutes for autosupport to populate correct data.
- In the clish menu, check for hardware health of FibreChannel cable connections using the command
show hardware-health node component=Connection.
Afterwards, the expected output is shown below to confirm that the appliance to storage FC cable connections are properly connected:
- Status Connected
- State OK
