Unable to view the status of the hardware components on a 5551 appliance.

Problem

The status of the hardware components such as CPU/FAN/Temperature/DIMM/Power is not displayed when you run the show hardware-health command on a 5551 node. 

Error Message

Redfish component data is not visible in the "show hardware-health" output:

Cause

The iLOREST commands require active BMC user credentials to create other BMC users (Redfish).

• When FIPS mode is enabled on HPE nodes, the only active BMC user is the default user with the default password.
• The default user and password are printed on the server pull tab.
• This password is utilized by other features to work with the  iLOREST commands.

Solution

1. Save the default password that is printed on the pull tab of the 5551 server.

2. To store the default pull tab password, enter the following shell command: 

• system store-default-BMC-credentials

3. Enter the pull tab (sticker) password written on the hardware.  

4. Verify the show hardware-health command displays the status of the hardware components.
