Failure creating Linux Shared Resource Tree (SRT), Could not load the following package(s) from distribution media.
Problem
When creating either a SuSE or RedHat SRT, the process fails due invalid software package.
Error Message
The media repository is incomplete.
Could not load the following package(s) from distribution media:
libreiserfs (libreiserfs-32bit*.x86_64.rpm)
V-125-39 caught exception: runtime error in
srtPlat.cpp:PackageInfo::verifyRepository()
[Error] V-125-105 Cannot install operating system onto this SRT.
Please see diagnostic log for additional information.
Cause
SRT creations for RedHat and SuSE use a set listing of software components that will be added into the SRT. In this case, the software component listing contains a package that is not available within the media utilized to create the SRT.
The behavior listed up top may occur with different packages being installed into the SRT. As later releases of RedHat and SuSE are distributed after BMR versions have been released, the software listing does not reflect package name changes within the RedHat and SuSE install media.
Solution
Workaround,
On the BMR BootServer, modify the createsrt.conf file and change the problematic package component name to the package name as it is listed on the media utilized to create the SRT. In this case it would be the libreiserfs-32bit*.x86_64.rpm package name, which was modified to libreiserfs-*.x86_64.rpm.
