IgnoreEVDates may not work as expected with non-shortcut eligible items

Problem

Certain types of items will never be replaced with a shortcut, regardless of shortcut policy settings.  These are referred to as non-shortcut items, and include:

• Calendar appointments
• Meeting requests and responses / cancellations
• Contacts
• Tasks
• Sticky Notes
• Drafts

When considering these types of items for archiving, the registry setting IgnoreEVDates is not respected. The items will not be considered eligible for archiving if they have not been modified since being archived or restored previously.  For more information on IgnoreEVDates refer to 100022437.
