Version: NetBackup 9.0
Problem Description: VMware virtual machine entered into emergency mode at first boot after successful restore.
Conditions:
- On RHEL vm created a disk size of 17TB.
- On this disk created EXT4 fs of 17TB and mounted.
- Kept the "exclude deleted blocks" setting checked.
- Performed VM backup.
- Once backup is complete performed full vm restore.
- VMware virtual machine entered into emergency mode at first boot after successful restore.
Or
- On RHEL vm created a disk size of two 9TB.
- Consolidating disks with LVM.
- On this disk created EXT4 fs of 18TB volume and mounted.
- Kept the "exclude deleted blocks" setting checked.
- Performed VM backup.
- Once backup is complete performed full vm restore.
- VMware virtual machine entered into emergency mode at first boot after successful restore.
