Veritas Appoints Fabio Pascali as Country Manager in Italy

Milan, Italy – 4 April, 2018 Veritas Technologies, a leader in multi-cloud data management, today announced that Fabio Pascali has been appointed country manager for Italy at Veritas. In this role, Pascali will be responsible for driving new business and growth in the country by enabling customers to harness the power of their information through the company’s 360 multi-cloud data management strategy.

As country leader, Pascali will spearhead business development efforts in Italy by focusing on opportunities within the major vertical sectors and by enabling customers to transform their data into a competitive asset in today’s multi-cloud world. Through Veritas’ offerings, Pascali will enable customers in Italy to simplify and enhance data protection across virtual, on-premises, and multi-cloud environments, while reducing storage costs and achieving regulatory compliance. He will also work with partners in the country to drive market differentiation, growth opportunities and customer value.

Pascali joins Veritas from Dell EMC, where he held a variety of leadership roles. Most recently he served as Director of Enterprise for North Italy, responsible for top accounts in the manufacturing, energy, banking and telecommunications industries. Prior to joining Dell EMC, Fabio held various roles at Sybase Italy, Engineering Ingegneria Informatica and Axime Italia.

“Fabio Pascali is a highly influential technology leader with 25 years of experience. He has a deep understanding of the technology landscape with highly relevant experience in a variety of areas including data management and software-defined storage that is crucial to driving our growth in Italy,” said Jean-Pierre Boushira, general manager for sales in Southern Europe, Veritas. “I am delighted to welcome such an experienced leader into our organization to help strengthen our relationships with customers and partners in Italy and drive forward our position as a leader in multi-cloud data management.”

As organizations migrate on-premises data and workloads to the cloud, they face major challenges and pain points, including visualizing their data, migrating that data to the cloud in a simple and cost-effective manner, and protecting workloads on-premises, in the cloud, and in complex hybrid environments with no vendor lock-in. In addition, as new compliance laws take effect, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), organizations globally must have the ability to see, access, protect and manage their data, regardless of where it resides.

Pascali will play a critical role in helping customers in Italy address these challenges utilizing new innovative solutions, including Veritas’ recently announced CloudPoint 2.0 snapshot-based data protection technology. This offering is now certified for both the Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure and adds extensive data protection capabilities so that organizations can easily replicate, search and classify their data.
