How to delete Fiber Transport (FT / SAN) Media server entry from NetBackup Enterprise Media Manager
nbemmcmd -deletehost gives error
The function returned the following failure status:
generic EMM SQL error (193)
Command did not complete successfully.
To list the SAN clients configured run the following command.
To list FT / SAN media servers run the following command.
First, the nbftclnt processes must be stopped on each FT client. This requires logging into each client in turn and shutting down the nbftclnt process either via taskmgr or via OS level 'kill' command.
nbftconfig -deleteserver <FT media server name>
If an error is encountered while attempting to delete the FT media server, check for orphaned pipes via the command:
If there are other FT media servers present for the FT clients that were deleted, restart the FT client daemon and they will automatically re-register with the remaining FT media servers.
