"The product lifecycle starts when it is added to the published VERITAS price list and becomes commercially Generally Available for purchase. We typically provide Support Services for a Major Release for up to seven years from the date it is made Generally Available. While the Major Release and its related releases are Generally Available, we provide a level of support called Standard Support. When that Major Release and its related releases reach EOL, VERITAS provides a level of support called Limited Support. When the Limited Support phase ends, the Software then moves to its Partial Support phase. At the end of the Partial Support phase, the Software reaches its End of Support Life ("EOSL")."

END OF SALE (EOS) DATE
The EOS date is the last date at which the Appliance Model can be purchased.

END OF SUPPORT CONTRACT RENEWAL DATE
The last day to extend or renew support contracts for the Appliance Model.

END OF SUPPORT LIFE (EOSL) DATE
EOSL date occurs 5 years after the EOLB date and is the last date that support is provided.  After the EOSL date has been reached, Veritas will no longer provide any support for the Appliance Model  and the Appliance Model is considered obsolete.
