"The operation failed to acquire the minimum number of drives and media needed," occurs when attempting to backup resources from a EMC Celerra SAN volume using the Backup Exec for Windows Servers NDMP option.

Error Message

0xe0000f16 -The operation failed to acquire the minimum number of drives and media needed

V-79-57344-33035 - Mount failed. Physical Volume Library Drive not found.

0XE000810B - Mount failed. Physical Volume Library Drive not found.

V-79-57344-3862 - The operation failed to acquire the minimum number of drives and media needed.

Solution

 Perform the following actions. If the problem persists, refer to the technotes in the related document section below or contact Symantec Technical Support for further assistance.

 - Disable the Removable Storage service on the Backup Exec for Windows server.

- Set the Backup Exec Logon account use for the NDMP resources to Common.
