The Storage Foundation for Windows High Availability (SFW-HA) 5.1 Enterprise Vault (EV) Configuration Wizard does not update the RegRep resource with the correct EV registry keys for the 64-bit platform.
The SFW-HA 5.1 Configuration Wizard creates the RegRep resource with the EV registry keys related to the 32-bit platform, "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\KVS\Enterprise Vault", which does not allow EV to fail over to another node The correct EV registry keys for the 64-bit platform are "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\KVS\Enterprise Vault".
To workaround the issue, modify the RegRep resource attributes to include the correct location of the EV registry keys for the 64-bit platform. Any new EV Service Groups that are created will need to have the RegRep resource attributes manually edited to include the correct location of the registry keys.
To resolve the issue, download and install the patch available in this article, delete the EV Service Group, and launch the EV Configuration Wizard to recreate the EV Service Group. The RegRep resource attribute will have the correct location of the EV registry keys for the 64-bit platform. This patch replaces the EV Configuration Wizard so it creates the RegRep resource with the correct location of the EV registry keys for the 64-bit platform.
